CRYSTAL Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has confirmed that they are in talks to sign PSG midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

The former Newcastle star is one of the Eagles’ top summer targets and is set to quit the French giants in his search for regular game time.

A move to the Eagles would re-unite Cabaye with boss Alan Pardew, the pair working together on Tyneside before his big-money exit to PSG.

Parish, speaking to talkSPORT, said: “That’s one we’d like to do. It would be a massive thing for the club because he is a seasoned international. It’s definitely one we’re working on.

“Getting the top players is difficult. It is a difficult transfer market. It is a bit blocked up because no-one wants to go first and set the valuation.

“We want to better than before and we have finished 10th and 12th. For us to get in the top-10 we have got to make sure we bring in people that are top-10 players. It’s not easy - everyone wants those players.”... read on
