BERKHAMSTED forward Connor Calcutt will get the chance to impress Millwall boss Ian Holloway when he plays in a development squad game for the Lions against QPR tomorrow.

The 19-year-old, who was on Spurs' books as a youngster, already has 40 games this season for the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side.

His goals have helped take them to third in the table and to a Challenge Cup final.

He started training with the Lions on April 5 after being watched by Den chief scout Mick Harford in a cup defeat by London Colney last month.

Harford said: "For someone who plays seven or eight levels below us, he showed a lot of ability, strength and awareness.

"He is hungry and wants to do well. He has been in and trained for a couple of days and played in a behind-closed-doors game.

"But he has had to go back to work because he needs to earn a living.
