Popovic confirms Sydney return TONY Popovic has left Crystal Palace after being appointed head coach of West Sydney. We revealed on Monday that the Eagles' first-team coach was poised to take the job at the A-League outfit. And Popovic has signed a four-year deal with the club - a new entrant into Australia's top division - which is based in his home city. Popovic said: "Certainly it's a great challenge, but one that I can handle. "We are short of time but we're confident we'll get a good team, a competitive team from the outset and one that's well prepared. That's the challenge we face.
