Palace dismiss Murray injury setback talk

Tuesday, 19 November 2013

CRYSTAL Palace caretaker boss Keith Millen has denied that Glenn Murray has suffered a setback in his recovery from a knee problem.

The Eagles striker has been out since suffering cruciate ligament damage against Brighton in the first leg of the Championship play-off semi-final.

Reports have suggested that Murray has undergone fresh surgery and is not back until at least February.

But Millen said: "As far as Glenn is concerned, it is still ongoing. The timescale is the same.

"It was always going to be January time. Probably the best case is the start of January and the worst case is the end of January. Nothing has changed in that respect.

"He is fine, just following his programme."
