MILLWALL manager Kenny Jackett has finally signed Huddersfield striker Theo Robinson almost nine months after first targeting the forward. The Lions boss was eyeing the speedy hitman even before the last January transfer window. But Terriers boss Lee Clark blocked a move to their promotion rivals. Jackett again went back for the 21-year-old with a £200,000 offer in the summer but was turned down. At the end of last month, though, Clark decided the Birmingham-raised player was surplus to requirements and told him he could leave on loan - and offered him to Jackett. The Lions replied that their original bid had been their final offer. But the two clubs have now come to an agreement and Robinson could make his debut at Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Robinson looks set to sign a 93-day emergency loan deal, which would expire on December 11. |
