Sting in the tale of Dulwich Park walk

Buzzing insects on the park bench
A WOMAN taking her kids for a stroll had a nasty shock when she saw this colony of hornets or wasps on a park bench.
Melanie Redmond was feeding the ducks in Dulwich Park with her daughter and nephew when she went to sit down on Sunday, April 19.
She said: “I knew there was a bench behind me and I walked backwards watching the kids feeding the ducks.
“I was about to sit down when I heard loud buzzing and turned around and saw what must have been about one million hornets or wasps all stuck together, about two inches thick on the bench.
“My daughter and I completely freaked out and ran away but my three-year-old nephew wanted to go and prod them with a twig.
“I didn’t let him but you should watch where you sit in Dulwich Park.”
